As part of Liberty’s commitment to giving back to community organizations, the Management Essentials Leadership Academy team volunteered at Gigi’s Playhouse New York City and helped those with Down syndrome in a painting exercise. The Harlem non-profit provides a place to celebrate a Down syndrome diagnosis and gain the social and academic skills individuals with Down syndrome need in order to reach their potential and make a contribution to the city.

Liberty volunteers worked with participants to help express themselves through painting and what it meant for them to be part of a local community. One of the paintings will be auctioned off at an upcoming event with the money going toward Gigi’s and the services it provides. Additionally, Liberty associates also purchased several pieces of art at the center to support the non-profit.
